Forever Young - 12 Steps to Longevity

                                Picture
Look better, feel younger...   invest in you!
Many of us think about this from time to time but are not really sure what we can do about it. Most of our education comes from our primary care physician who often tells us our aches and pains are due to the fact that we're now over forty. He or she may also blame the aches and pains on genetics, implying that they are a part of aging and there isn't much we can do about it.  Having worked with patients and researched this topic of aging and longevity for the past 20 years, I have to respectfully disagree with conventional medicine. A  good example of longevity due to their diet and lifestyle, would be the Japanese  with 47,756 centenarians as of September 2011. That's a lot of people living to be one hundred years old or more! I can assure you that if you follow our  Forever Young: 12 Steps to Longevity, program two things will happen that will  improve your life. One, you will live longer and the quality of your life in  those later years will be better. And two, less money will be spent on  medication and hospital care because you will be healthier, happier and more vital.

Choosing our Comprehensive Concierge Alternative Care program Plan A, you will not only get the support, education and guidance you need while going through the 12 steps to Longevity program but, you will also save over 60%.

                                12 Steps to Longevity

1.Dr. Al’s Antidote to Aging: A Telomerase Multiphase Formula
Telomerase is an enzyme that helps to rebuild the end caps of our chromosomes, called telomeres.  Theoretically, by elongating one’s telomeres we are reversing the aging process.  This was a recent discovery by Dr. Elizabeth Blackburn who received a Nobel Prize in the year 2009. In a study of 30 aged men suffering from prostate cancer, Dr. Dean Ornish increased this important enzyme by 29.84% in 3 months by making significant, yet simple, changes in diet, vitamin supplements and lifestyle.  This study was written up in the prestigious medical journal Lancet Oncology in 2008.  After years of research on this subject, I have customized my own telomerase multiphase formula.

2.Dr. Al’s Supplement Protocol to Increase Telomerase
Resveratrol, the powerful anti-oxidant found in red wine, along with several other less common known supplements has had a positive effect on increasing one’s telomeres.

3.Growth Hormone Releasers (Specific Amino Acids and B Vitamins)
Growth Hormone is a peptide hormone that stimulates growth cell reproduction and regeneration in humans and other animals. Growth hormone releasers are nothing more than specific amino acids (the building blocks of life) and B vitamins.  If there were a hormone produced by the human body that is close to a panacea, it would be the human growth hormone (HGH).  On July 5, 1990, the New England Journal of Medicine released a study of a drug that sent shock waves throughout the world.  That drug was a synthetic growth hormone which was instantly hailed as the “fountain of youth.”  However, due to the fact that it was a synthetic substance, there were long term negative effects.  But the correct all-natural supplementation will help the body induce the
release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland without negative effects.

4.Caloric Restriction Without Malnutrition (Consuming 15% under your daily caloric load and keeping BMI to about 23 by utilizing a BIA and FLT  program)
The first studies that were conducted in the area of caloric restriction were done with lab rodents.  Those rodents were put on a diet reducing their caloric intake by 40%.  As a result, their lifespan was extended just short of two-fold.  However, studies conducted with humans have shown some significant benefits with a reduction of only 15%.

                                5.Consume a Hypo-Allergenic Diet
Many people today suffer from food sensitivities, which is akin to having mild food allergies without realizing it.  Unlike what we think of as a food allergy reaction where one can experience immediate symptoms such as breathing problems, hives and swelling; food sensitivities don’t show up until hours or
days later, many times without association of their cause.  Over time this has a negative effect on health, contributing to metabolic disorders such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes to name a few.

6.Consume an Anti-Inflammatory Diet (Along with Aromatase Inhibitors and Anti-Cancer Diet)
Inflammation is the main concern associated with aging and disease.  Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said, “Our food be thy medicine and our medicine be thy food.”  There are foods that can act as anti-inflammatories.  Some examples would be the omega-3 oil from cold water fish, or curcumin longa which is the active ingredient in turmeric.

                                7.Consume a Low-Glycemic Diet
Too much sugar in any form doesn’t serve the body.  Dr. Candice Pert, in her book Molecules of Emotion and Terrance K. McKenna, in his book Food of the Gods, speak about sugar akin to heroin and cocaine.

8.Exercise Daily -A combination of aerobic, resistance andinterval training
Humans were made for motion.  Exercise has been known to be the elixir of life.  It’s a common fact that those who exercise regularly live longer, are happier, and lead more productive lives.

                                9.Diffuse Stress
Our body does not discern minor stressors from major stressors, which is unfortunate.  The human body is not meant to sustain a prolonged fight or flight experience. When this occurs, our cells are literally bathing in stress hormones  which science has shown to increase risk factors for all modern day diseases.

                                10.Sleep 7 to 9 Hours a Day
According to Tufts Medical School, less than 7 hours of sleep is considered sleep deprivation.  It is demonstrated in the book Lights Out by TS Wiles and Bent Formby that 9 plus hours of sleep aids in weight loss, eradicates depression, lowers blood pressure levels, helps reverse type II diabetes, minimizes the risk for heart disease, helps prevent cancer and more.  Their research has been based upon more than one hundred references from the National Institute of Health.  Simply put, deep sleep has been shown to increase telomerase.

11.Learn, Laugh and Socialize a Lot
Time Magazine did a study of centenarians, people who live to be one hundred years or more.  They asked them “What do you attribute your longevity to?”  They responded that they cook their own meals, learn new things and challenge their brain.  They also socialize by getting together with groups, family or church; humor especially, has been shown to boost immunity.  Also studies have shown that married couples live longer than singles.

                                12.Believe in a Higher Power
The lack of spiritual consciousness has shown to increase stress hormones.  Having some form of spiritual practice, a connection with a higher power and often prayer gives people a sense of well being.  And for those that attend church regularly gives them a sense of belonging.
